Name of Assignment: Brexit reflection
Subject: GEOG 102
Facilitator/Teacher: Allison Chun
This is description of why and how Brexit happened and if it benefitted the people or not in Britain. This assignment uses civic literacy and engagement skills when the students had to present their knowledge of what happened during the Brexit and the student’s own opinions on the matter. I am proud of this assignment due to it being very hard to complete and accomplish the task of getting all the information correctly. I developed my skill of global awareness when studying and researching the impacts of Brexit and how it turned out to the people in the globe. The most difficult task was to find the opposite side of people who wanted Brexit to happen, not many sources were focused on the Brexit formation, rather few. I would start over the process of how I did my research on Brexit. I would rather use only the information from personal experience and internet-based knowledge, rather than books that are a little outdated and do not show the impacts of Brexit. This relates to my old discussions where I had to research Egypt or other places and countries throughout the world. I can apply this to my future learning by the global awareness, and use the knowledge to support future political claims or disprove someone else’s claims in politics.
